The Department of Political Science of Government General Degree College, Lalgarh begins its journey from 2014. At present, the department has two faculty members. However, Political Science Science as a discipline helps us to know about national and international politics. Political Science Science focuses on various theories, thoughts, ideologies, constitutions, forms and functions of government of different States, foreign policies and inter-relation among States, international organizations, non-state actors, NGO's, global issues etc. The Department of Political Science Science of Government General Degree College, Lalgarh tries to provide an overall idea on various areas of this subject giving importance on the syllabus provided by Vidyasagar university. The future prospect of this subject is also very promising and bright.
